EMPLOYMENT BRIEF -  SEPTEMBER 2014

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported for September that 248,000 jobs were added, trending down the unemployment rate to 5.9%.  A comparison of this unemployment rate by ethnicity breakdowns for Asians 4.3%$, blacks 11.0%$, Hispanics 6.9%$, whites 5.1%$ and teenagers 20%#.  [CA's August unemployment rate was 7.4%(no change) - Fresno 10.1%$; Los Angeles 8.5%$; San Diego 6.2%$; San Francisco 4.5%$]
